61 How to properly download upgrade firmware of CPE? 2019-08-29 18:13

     It is suitable for: All TOTOLINK CPE

Preparation

★ Before downloading files. please confirm the hardware version ofyour device and choose the corresponiding firmware version to uparade. 

★ Wrong firrmware version may damage your device and no warrante.


Set up steps

STEP-1: Guide for Hardware Version

For most TOTOLINK CPE, you can see two bar coded stickers at the front of the device, the character string started with Model No.(for example CP300) and ended with hardware Version (for example V2.0) is the serial number of your device.

STEP-2: 

Open browser, enter www.totolink.net Download the required files.

For example, if your hardware yersion is V2.0 , please download V2 version. 

Note: If the hardware version is V1, V1 will be hidden.

Unzip the file, correct upgrade file name is suffixed with ”web” or “bin(except for some special models)

63 How to judge the T10 status by State LED? 2019-08-29 18:10
     It is suitable for: T10

STEP-1: T10 status LED position

STEP-2: 

After the MESH network is set, if the setting is successful, the slave T10 will be in a state of steady green or orange light.

2-1. Green light indicates excellent signal quality

2-2. Orange light indicates that the signal quality is normal

Noet: In order to get a better experience, it is recommended to install the T10 to a position where the green light can be displayed.

STEP-3: 

After the MESH network is set, if the setting fails, the slave T10 will be in a steady red state.

3-1. Red light indicates that MESH networking failed

Noet: It is recommended that you place the T10 next to the main T10 and try the MESH networking pairing again.

STEP-4: The light shows the status description table:

LED Name

LED Activity

Description

State LED (Recessed)

Solid green

  ★ The router is booting. The process finishes until the state LED blinks green. 

      It may take about 40 seconds; please wait.


  ★  It means the Satellite is synced to the Master successfully,  

       and the connection between them is strong.

Blinking green

  ★ The router finishes the booting process and is working normally.


  ★ It means the Master is synced to the Satellite successfully.

Blinking alternately

between red and orange

  The sync is being processed between the Master and Satellite.
Solid red (Satellite)

  ★ The Master and Satellite failed to sync.


 ★ The connection between the Master and Satellite is poor. 

     Consider moving the Satellite closer to the Master.

Solid orange (Satellite)  The Satellite is synced successfully to the Master, and the connection between them is good.
Blinking red  While the reset process is being proceeded.

Button/Ports

Description

T Button

Reset Router to factory defaults: 

    when the router is powered on, press this button and hold it for 5 seconds until the state LED blinks red.


★ Sync Master to Satellites: 

    press and hold this button on a router for about 3 seconds until the state LED blinks alternately between red       and orange. This way, this router is set as the Master to sync to the surrounding   Satellites



64 How do log in to T10 using my mobile device (Phone/Tablet) to set it up? 2019-08-29 18:10

Set up steps

STEP-1:

You can find the default access address and wireless SSID on the bottom label of the product. Connect my mobile device (Phone/Tablet) to the router by wireless.

STEP-2:

Login the router by entering 192.168.0.1  into the address bar of your browser. User Name and Password are required, by default both are admin in lowercase letter. Click LOGIN.

STEP-3:

After logging in, select "Quick Setup" to set the router.

STEP-4: Internet setting

Next, Configure Internet mode with PPPoE ,Static IP and DHCP for TOTOLINK T10 using my mobile device (Phone/Tablet). Here is an example of DHCP as WAN Connection Type.

Connect to the router's customized wireless SSID, view router connection status.

The Easy Setup page will turn up for basic and quick setting,Select DHCP as WAN Connection Type, then Click Apply.

Please go to Network ->WAN Setting page, and check which you have selected.

Select DHCP Client as WAN Type, then Click Apply.

STEP-3.2.1: Easy Setup Static IP setting

The Easy Setup page will turn up for basic and quick setting,Selecting Static IP as WAN Connection Type and input your information about Static IP which you want to fill in .Then Click Apply.

Please go to Network ->WAN Setting page, and check which you have selected.

Select Static IP as WAN Type and input your information about Static IP which you want to fill in .

Then Click Apply.

The Easy Setup page will turn up for basic and quick setting ,Select PPPoE as WAN Type and input your PPPoE username and password which are provided by your ISP. Then Click Apply

Please go to Network ->WAN Setting page, and check which you have selected.

66 How to view System Log of TOTOLINK Router? 2019-08-29 18:06


It is suitable for:  N100RE, N150RT, N151RT, N200RE, N210RE, N300RT, N301RT , N302R Plus, A702R, A850R, A3002RU


Application introduction: 

The system log of the router can be used to find out why the network connection fails.


STEP-1:

Connect your computer to the router by cable or wireless, then login the router by entering http://192.168.0.1 into the address bar of your browser.

Before view System Log of Router, you confirm that the system log is turned on. Click Refresh button to view system log.

If you have not turned on System Log. Select Enable Log bar, then click Apply button. Finally Click Refresh button to view system log.

68 How to set up DMZ on TOTOLINK Router? 2019-08-29 18:04

     It is suitable for:  N100RE, N150RT , N200RE, N210RE, N300RT, N302R Plus, A3002RU

Application introduction: 

DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) is a network which has fewer default firewall restriction than the LAN does. It allow all the devices connected to the port to be exposed to the Internet for some special-purpose services.


STEP-1:

Connect your computer to the router by cable or wireless, then login the router by entering http://192.168.0.1 into the address bar of your browser.

Select Enable On/Off bar,You can setup the Host IP address in the box,And then click Apply button.

When DMZ is enabled, the DMZ host is totally exposed to the internet, which may bring some potential safety hazards. If DMZ is not in use, please disable it in time.

Application introduction:

70 How to set up DDNS on TOTOLINK Router? 2019-08-29 18:02

It is suitable for: N100RE, N150RT , N200RE, N210RE, N300RT, N302R Plus, A3002RU

Application introduction: 

DDNS (Dynamic Domain Name System) is useful for your own website, FTP server or other server behind the router.


STEP-1:

Connect your computer to the router by cable or wireless, then login the router by entering http://192.168.0.1 into the address bar of your browser.
